NEF-CCN Colleges >> WHEN (being rebranded as AITM)


White House Education Network (WHEN) being rebranded as Asian Institute of Technology and Management (AITM), began operating in its present premises from 2006. It was inducted into NEF-CCN as a constituent entity from 2010. The present academic-oriented management took over full ownership of the property and all its academic programs from 2012. From the 3rd quarter of 2012, the present management has initiated the necessary structural changes and reforms to make this entity a center of “academic excellence”, just like the other two reputed entities – XACGS and LACHS.


This is the entity, which will be the corporate headquarters of NEF-CCN, and will be the main venue for conducting various collaborative academic programs in partnership with prestigious national and international universities.

The strengths, which AITM brings into NEF-CCN, are given below:

- Location : in Knowledge Village, Khumaltar Heights, a very fast developing suburb of Lalitpur, twin city of Kathmandu, 0.6 km from the Satdobato ring road junctions (download location map)

- Land Area : 15 ropanis 10 annas (85,562.25 sq. ft. or 7,948.21 sq. m.)

- Built-up Area : 125,000 sq. ft. (11,611.70 sq. m), of built-up area

- Faculty & Administrative Strength : 170 faculty members (41 part-time/visiting) and 78 administrative staff.

- Student Enrollment : 1,144, which will increase by another approximately 300 students in the coming intake, within the next few months, with total graduates approx. 1,800 out of which more than 50% of graduates from the 10+2 have gone for bachelor studies, mostly in the States, UK and Australia

- Programs Currently Offered : 10+2 Science, Commerce and Management, Bachelor in Information Technology, Bachelor in Computer Engineering, Bachelor in Electronics & Communication, Bachelor in Civil Engineering, Bachelor in Biotechnology, Bachelor in Hotel Management, Bachelor in Civil and Infrastructure Engineering (AIT 2 stage program), Bachelor in Information Communication Technology (AIT 2 stage program), Master in Business Administration (MBA) and MBA in Energy (both of these are also AIT 2 stage programs)

- Total Value of Assets : NRs. 740 million (approx. US$8.22 million)
