HACCP Training for HDHM-V and BHM (PU) -VI Semister

AITM School of Hotel Management organized one day seminar on “Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP)” for the students of BHM (PU) –VI semester and HDHM (IMI)-V Semester. The seminar was facilitated by Mr. Janardhan Ghimire who is the Chairman of National Certification and Management Nepal, (NATCM ) and Lead Auditor on ISO 9001:2008, ISO 22000:2005, BS OHSAS 18001:2007, ISO 14001:2004 . Mr. Ghimire talked about the food hygiene, food contamination, food poisoning, micro organisms, food hazard and different food borne diseases at the seminar. Mr. Ghimire also showed a short documentary about the present condition and practice of food hygiene in Nepal. Sixty students attended this seminar which was followed by an hour long exam related to the seminar and question & answer session where students put forward their queries.


HACCP is a management system in which food safety is addressed through the analysis and control of biological, chemical, and physical hazards from raw material production, procurement and handling, to manufacturing, distribution and consumption of the finished product.
