As a part of the curriculum, students of BHM-III of School of Hotel Management had recently hosted INDIAN THEME RESTURANT OPERATION on 22nd, 23rd and 24th January 2017. The event focused on providing detailed knowledge and practical exposure within the kitchen and service area.

Students were supervised by Chef Kedar Silwal and Faculty of Food and Beverage Service, Mr. Sugan Tamrakar. During the event, the students were divided into three groups which included chefs, service crews and the guests where the roles of the students interchanged for three days. The students skillfully prepared meals under Indian cuisine and decorated the restaurant area in a way that reflected the Indian culture and values.

Mr. Jaydeep Chakrabarti, General Manager of Radisson Hotel Kathmandu and Mr. Rupesh Shrestha, Training and Development Manager also visited the School during the theme week. Guests were given a chance to visit AITM’s Biotechnology department in their request and lots of areas of cooperation were explored during the meeting.
