Dr. Nilesh Vaidya, an alumnus of Xavier Academy and a distinguished scholar and recipient of many fellowships/awards, currently working as a postdoctoral fellow at the Princeton University gave an intriguing lecture on “Internal Organization Of The Nucleolus: Assembly Of Compartments By Liquid-Liquid Phase Separation” at Asian Institute of Technology and Management.

Dr. Nilesh Vaidya was accompanied by his wife Dr. Manila Vaidya. She gave a brief introduction about her work. She is doing her research in molecular biology and focusing on cancer at present. She does most of her work in developing countries.

They visited biotechnology laboratories and observed student’s work with keen interest after the lecture.

The couple also discussed about the possibility to involve students of Asian Institute of Technology and Management in their research work in near future.
