AITM students exhibited innovative solution for managing traffic congestion at Kalanki Intersection at Civil Engineering Exhibition-2070 held at Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk Campus.


Students from Department of Civil Engineering in WHIST/AITM exhibited models of AITM building, suspension/suspended bridges (2), cable stayed (Karnali) Motorable Bridge and Road Intersections at (Tinkune, Baneswar, Thapathali and Kalanki) in the “Civil Engineering Exhibition-2070”. The event was organized during 27-29 December, 2013 by Civil Engineering Students’ Society (CESS Nepal) at Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk Campus. Over 400 visitor participants, including engineers, development experts, academicians, and students, visited AITM’s install and inspired the students with their wonderful queries on the models prepared.

Eleven AITM students (Prakash Dulal, Ujjwal Karki, Sangeeta Shrestha, Trilok Karki, Suman Paudel, Sunil Giri, Rabin Shrestha, Rajendra Shrestha, Pratistha Rijal, Siddhibhakta Maharjan, Rikesh Shrestha) worked very hard to prepare the models under the coordination of Dr. B.B. Parajuli (Head of Civil Engineering Department) and instruction of Mr. Puskar Koirala. The model of Kalanki intersection was featured in the news of Rajdhani Daily, 27 and 28 December.
