AITM News and Events >> Hydropower Engineering Field Visit for B.E. Civil 7th Semester Students Completed

 
A three-day field visit of Marsyandi, Upper Modikhola and Lower Modikhola hydroelectric power plants for B.E. Civil 7th semester students of AITM was conducted from Jan. 08 to 10, 2017. Total sixty-four students and four faculty/staff members from AITM were involved in the field visit. The team visited headworks of Lower Marsyandi hydroelectric power plant (operational) and reached Kushma, Parbat on the first day. Next morning, the team observed the suspension bridge over Kaligandi River, moved to Dimuwa, and observed components of Lower Modikhola hydroelectric project (under construction). Then it visited Upper Modikhola hydroelectric project (operational) site and observed its components. After a brief sightseeing in Pokhara in the morning, the team returned to Kathmandu on the third day (Jan. 10, 2017).
