Mr. Yogesh Dhungana, ex Biotech student, Batch Topper (2007-2011), recipient of Ramlal Golchha Medal in Faculty of Science and Technology awarded by Rt. Honorable Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai during Sixth Convocation of Purbanchal University. Mr. Dhungana received Erasmus Mundus Scholar to study Masters Degree on Computational System Biology from Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden and Aalto University, Finland.

He is currently working as Bioinformatics Scientist in Genewiz LLC, South Plainfield, New Jersey, USA.

On 12 May 2016, Mr. Dhungana participated in an interaction program with biotechnology students of AITM to explore the prospects of Biotechnology. He stressed on the need to integrate science and technology while studying since it is the current trend in international market. He also shed light on having a sound programming knowledge because scientists have to deal with lot of computer data these days. There was lot of enthusiastic queries by students regarding prospects of Biotechnology in international market.

He said there are ample scope for higher study and placement for  students with good marks in B. Tech in Biotechnology. Therefore he suggested students to perform well academically.
