The Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) signed between IMI University Centre Switzerland and WHEN/AITM to renew the existing academic collaboration to offer in Nepal the IMI Higher Diploma in International Hotel and Tourism Management (HDHM), which is externally validated by Manchester Metropolitan University United Kingdom.

The Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to renew the existing academic collaboration agreement to offer in Nepal the IMI Higher Diploma in International Hotel and Tourism Management (HDHM), which is externally validated by Manchester Metropolitan University United Kingdom, was signed on 25 February 2013 by Prof. Dr. John Fenby, Dean of the IMI University Centre, on behalf of IMI University Centre Switzerland, and Prof. Dr. Sriram Bhagut Mathe, Chairperson of Nepal Education Foundation – Consortium of College, Nepal (NEF-CCN) and WhiteHouse Education Network (WHEN), on behalf of NEF-CCN and WHEN. WHEN is in the process of being rebranded into Asian Institute of Technology and Management (AITM). This agreement is effective immediately and is valid for a period of 6 years. Under this agreement, WHEN/AITM can continue to offer the 3 years IMI Higher Diploma course in Nepal with the possibility of one additional year in IMI University Centre, Switzerland to complete the Bachelor degree with Honours. After completion of the Bachelor degree, students are eligible for internship in Switzerland. This arrangement will improve the employment prospects of our Nepalese students. IMI University Centre, Switzerland, is one of the most prestigious hospitality institutions in the world. Prof. Dr. John Fenby, prior to the MoA signing ceremony, inspected the facilities in WHEN/AITM and interacted with the faculty members and students. He was pleased with the facilities available as well as with the caliber of the IMI students. In course of the discussions, it has been agreed that future collaboration could focus in the following areas:

- BA-Hons in Culinary Arts

- MBA-Hospitality

- EMBA-Hospitality

- Professional Development Program (PDU) for industry people

- A Research Centre
