Servir-Himalaya Initiative (2013.11 – 2014.10)

 

The SERVIR-Himalaya Initiative, started in 2010 by International Center for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) in collaboration with United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), aims at improving environmental decision-making in the Hindu Kush-Himalayan (HKH) region through dissemination and analysis of earth observation information (http://www.icimod.org/?q=9354). ICIMOD is implementing the project through its partner agencies in its member countries. Realizing areas of shared interests, Asian Institute of Technology and Management (AITM) and ICIMOD joined hands in November 2013 to implement the project in Nepal.

- Project title: developing geospatial tools, methods and science applications for web-based geospatial platform

- Objective: to collaborate and strengthen geospatial application development team at AITM with the objective of building relevant tools and applications for national geospatial platforms and organize joint youth and training events and workshops.

- Project duration: 2013.11 – 2014.10
