Brief biography: Prof. Dr. Pushkar K Pradhan holds a PhD degree from the Institute of Geography and Regional Science, Klagenfurt University, Austria, MSc in Rural and Regional Development Planning from Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. Prof. Pradhan has over 39 years of professional experience in teaching, research and publication. His areas of specialization include urban-rural relations; urban & regional development, planning and management of settlements and market towns, facility location, environmental resources, monitoring and evaluation, Geographical Information Systems and Remote Sensing. Prof Pradhan has edited and co-edited 4 journals, 3 reference books and 3 IGU and national conference proceedings and has published 40 research papers jointly or independently in international and national journals, books and proceedings. He was also involved in over five dozens research projects at different capacities.
