Dr. Bal Bahadur ParajuliBrief biography: Dr. Bal B. Parajuli earned a Doctor of Engineering in Water Environment and Development (2003) from Ehime University of Japan following M. Eng. in Hydraulic Engineering (2000) from the same university and a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (1989) from IOE, Tribhuvan University of Nepal. A recipient of Japanese Government Scholarship (Mobukagasho) and Research Fellow of JASSO and Ehime University, Dr. Parajuli has authored many papers published in Journals and proceedings of JSCE, IAHE and national and international society and conferences. He has experiences in rural development, peace building process, water resources and energy field for more than 20 years. Besides deep involvement in academic education and research, he is working as a planner, advisor and consultant for Government of Nepal and development organizations. He has successfully carried research works on numerical simulation of sediment transport and flow characteristics for Mountain Rivers. His research fields are water energy management, sustainable development and policy research.
